wood arrow spine?
«

I am going to wood arrows and was trying to determine what spine to get. I am shooting a 52@28, longbow and my draw us 28. I used the Stu calculator and it looks like I need 65-70. Is this right?

Very likely Stu is right- we need degree of center cut, R/D or straight limb, and string type. Bow make and model helps.

Kota Prairie Fire, r/d, I believe it is cut to center. I am going to try a SBD 8 string. Arrows will be 29".

Yes that looks right, cut the arrows as part of the tuning process, tip weight might put you up another 5#. I'd get a couple of shafts in 70/75 if you are going with 160 gn points or broadheads.

I agree with Bjorn, as usual.
