Man, I don't think there's a deer as big as any one of those in the entire state of South Carolina.

how do deer this big not get killed by gun hunters? these deer would never stand a chance of getting this big/old in Alabama.

Once again this is why you are know as the CLOSER Uncle B and why all your hardwork/time in the field pays off.

I had a "Three Dink Day"....I am just hopin for a good chance at a mature buck.  I've only seen one true "booner" in my life in the wild, I think.   I'm with Lamb, too.

Still, I love to hear those stories, Barry...keep us informed!

That's why we go out.  You never know what your going to see, all though it helps if your hunting some place that you know has some serious potential.  But I'm sure that's why UB moved to Iowa in the first place.  Way to go UB and can't wait to see your upcoming movie.

You are certainly living a blessed life.  Enjoy and appreciate it.  Three booners in a day, incredible!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Just an interesting update. I sat the same stand I sat yesterday afternoon today (this afternoon/evening) and never saw a single deer. And we think we understand whitetails. BW

What a day Barry.  Thanks for telling us about it.  Can't wait to see some footage.

Sat a stand last Wed and saw 7 bucks - never spooking one.  Sat it again the next two mornings and never saw a deer.  Baffling!

Great story, thanks for posting.

By the way, I'm reading "Once upon a Tine" on the train home from NYC everyday and I don't think the average commuter to NYC understands the whole sideways hat thing ( cover photo ) from the looks I'm getting.
