Yep, you may be right buckster. I can still handle the weight now, but I want this to be "my" bow for many years to come and I'm not gettin any younger. In 10 years, I dont want the bow to intimidate me. Any body over 50 might understand what I mean.

Lin,

Sent you a PM, and I am about two weeks away from 66 and I still find 50# relatively easy. I think Fred Bear shot 60# into his 70's.

That 44# Bocote/Myrtle bow of Gary's is the one he plans to have when he is "dribbling his oatmeal".

He has what started as a 57# Cocobolo/Tulipwood TT as well.  He had Brian take it down to 53# as he is one of those well over 50 year olds.

You will probably want at least two once you get the first one    :goldtooth:

Did I hit a nerve Biggie?  :goldtooth:  I guess there's a lot of "mature" guys here, huh?

I'm not complaining about getting older(much), just preparing for it. I'm depending on this bow to keep me young.   :biglaugh:  How's that for pressure Brian?

Almost christened mine last night.(it's 47#s and i have no doubt it will blow through a Canadian whitetail) Had a 125-130" 4x4 at 12 yards and just couldn't end my season yet on a 3 1/2 year old. A buddy hunted a stand I was gonna hunt and shot a 155-160" 4x4 last night as well. The TT will "go off" in the next couple weeks. This is one bow I'm not gonna get rid of, it draws so light even after sitting for 4 hours. I've got heavier limbs coming but am glad to have light ones for deer season...especially as it still shoots so fast....Ryan

I saw your bow on another thread. I love the limbs but cant recall the wood. If I upgrade that would be a great combination Gray Charcoal riser and ..................?

This is my opinion only folks.

So Ive had a few bows over the years and it became quickly evident that not all scales are the same when it comes to measuring bow weight. Thus one bowyers 50#r bow can feel like 2-3#s lighter than another.....because it is !

I had a TT marked 45# and compared to my other bows it felt lighter. Something to think about.

Now, shooting wise; that bow was awesome ! The grip is one that is different that any Ive had/have. For me it was something I had to get used to.

I am a stupid man for selling it....Dirtybird you listening????      :)      Me thinks you should sell it back to me.

I am in contact with Brian about a possible new one..........

Joe, I always secretly hoped you would buy a TT just so I could see one of those phenomenal pictures you take!

Lin, those limbs on Ryan's bow are Myrtle, like the first ones I posted.

No Lin....but that smart alecky Steve-o pushes the envelope sometimes. He'll be old too one day and I'm gonna stick around long enough to bend the spokes on his wheelchair.

MIne is 54#@32" feels just right after years of shooting 65-70#. Shot clean thru my moose with 55#'s makes me wonder why I ever went "up"  :D

Joe can't thank you enough.  That bow is a beauty, I've got Brian working on some heavier limbs now for it.

I have shot one a couple different times and I will tell you what I absolutely do not like about the Tall Tines.

Draw - The draw seemed effortless as if I had  done nothing.

Grip - Fit like a glove. I prefer gloves only in cold weather.

Stability - The bow remained motionless at the shot. I like to control the bow myself.

Sound - Couldn't hear it at release. I had to walk down to the target to verify there was an arrow in it.

Shock - I like the feel of shock and vibration.  This bow failed miserably there.

Craftmanship - Why so fancy when all you need is a stick?

Speed - Arrow was travelling too fast for me to keep up with.

Accuracy - The bow shot as if I new what I was doing. Who is kidding who?
