Well it's been an interesting morning here today! I got blood to track and deer to haul out of the woods.......

Dang it! Modern technology allows us to post from the woods which is cool, but now I gotta wait! Ok,waiting not so patiently.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

The weather forecast for day was warm 70 degrees and a south wind. Definately not my favorite weather condions for November......

But I slipped out and into a stand behind the house just before sunrise. A half hour later i spotted a little buck trailing a doe towards me from the southwest. He was about two steps behind her and grunting every other step.

He slipped in to about 15 yards and paused in a small opening. Thats all I needed to slip an arrow into his lungs.

He ran about 30 yards west and stopped then got drunk and tipped over in sight.

Thanks to another tradgang member (illianabowhunter67) for coming over and bringing his deer cart to rol him out with! It made short work of the drag.

I also had a freind down the road with a cooler to put him in to cool out. It's a little spooky cooler though as he bought it from a morge several years ago!

Yes we couldn't resist slipping a toe tag on him before shutting the door!

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Alright!  This SE wind is killing me.  If I sit in my only stand available I'll blow my stink all over where I hunt.  Nice shooting on that buck.  Good luck the rest of the season!
