I thank those who served before me and after me,without your sacrifices we would not have what we have and I would not have been trained as good as I was without the sacrifices those before me had made.Thank you for that blanket of freedom I snuggle under every night. I salute you and honor you my brothers and sisters.   :notworthy:    :campfire:

God bless to all our troops.  I served in Viet Nam in 70/71 but want to thank all of our Vets, past and present, for the sacrifice made for this great country.  I know first had how it feels to be away from family and friends on special days plus the reality that you are only one heartbeat away from tragedy in a Combat environment.

I vividly recall each opening day of deer season while away and how much I missed being afield with my Dad.  Glad I made it back to spend several seasons with him before he passed on.

Again, God Bless this Country and all whom have made the sacrifice.

My dad's final resting place at Fort Sam Houston's military cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. He served 23 years in the US Army from 1941-1964. His dying wish was to be buried with his own kind. I carried out his last wish.
