Hi Walt, way to stick with it. Did you make the bow? That is very cool to have done it with a selfbow. Have you used that on any cats?

Thanks for the compliments.  He will gross around 125 and is my biggest with a selfbow.  We finally got snow this past week and it seems to have kicked in the rut, the bucks are just starting to cruise my hunting areas.  This buck had given me several opportunities before I missed him with the first arrow and I really did not intend to take him until he gave me the fifth or sixth opportunity.  Having passed on three larger bucks in the past week (one at twelve yards 30 minutes earlier) and a five-day hunt on the Milk River scheduled for next week, I keep wondering why I took him.  Something in my head said this is the one and I listened for a change....I still don’t know why.  ;)
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
