Built a bow-rack today
« on: May 27, 2007, 10:19:00 PM »
I had some left-over 2X4s and 2X2s, and needed to get the bows out of the basement and on the wall.  Here's what I came up with today.

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."  from Walden- Henry David Thoreau

Added a shelf to display arrows.

Drilled a couple of holes, cut a dowel down into pieces and rounded the ends, and glued them in.

Now all I need to do is glue a little felt over the tops of the dowels so as not to scratch the limbs, hang it up, drop the arrows in the holes, and hang them bows.

I love the arrowhead shape and the way the arrows follow the shape of the sides. Nice job!!

That really turned out nice.    Good job, looks like something I need to make, if I can find room on a wall for it.
