Swarovski SLC 10x50 Binoculars?
« on: November 13, 2010, 10:47:00 AM »
Ladies & Gentlemen,
Anyone used/using the aforementioned binoculars?

Am considering the purchase of one last pair of binoculars and these look very promising.  Have been using our old Leica 10x40 since buying them back in 1981.  (Amazing.  I can still remember what I paid for them 30 years ago but not sure what I had for breakfast yesterday?  Go figure.)  They still work very well but understand there have been a number of improvements in overall optical quality since then.

Thank you for your advice/assistance in this matter.
Best Wishes

I have a pair of 10x50 SLC that I purchased in 2001. They are outstanding in everyway and are really impressive during the first and last hours of light. The 50mm objective really pulls in the available light. The only knock against them I would have would be the weight.

x2 Mojo Rising. The only better are a friend's Sworo 15 x 56. Then you go from outstanding to WOW!

I agree with Mojo Rising.  Weight is the only issue, because of this I mostly carry a pair of Minox 8x40's

I have a pair of swaros 10x50 and I love them the price is high but they should be the last pair of binos I ever buy. They are really awesome at dusk. Great product yes as stated they are a little heavy but thats ok.

I had a pair of Swarovski SLC 8x30 and 10x42 at one point, I now have the Leica 8x32 ultravid HD. Though I love the Leica's and I do think they are better, I wish I still had the Swarovski's and an extra $800 in my pocket. The swarovski's are what I recommend to freinds.
