Ringneck's first deer
« on: November 13, 2010, 05:01:00 PM »
Now Shawn is a modest man but as a good friend I had to share his "first". Actually he killed a bull elk a few years ago in Co. with his Great Plains but this is his first trad deer.
Think the smile saws it all. Best to you Buddy!

The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Way to go.......Shawn !!!!!

......and thank-YOU Tom for posting it up for him. No sense in being modest around here.....we're all friends and pretty much cut from the same cloth.

I too.......just made my first traditional kill earlier in the week. There isn't a feeling like it.

C'mon Shawn, now is not the time to be lurking. Your accomplishment is now out of the bag. Way to go Buddy. Believe the story is a good one also so let the people have it.

I wonder what kind of knife was used to dress it?
