Nashville pig hunting?
«
on:

I am an Iowan that has always dreamed of hunting pig. My sister-in-law has just moved to Nashville. We will now be heading that was 1-2 times a year. We will be there over Thanksgiving this year. I know, I know I am leaving Iowa during rut. Let's not talk about it please:(
Anyways, I got to thinking about pigs. Do any of you know of an outfit near Nashville that would be good for hunting pigs trad?
Thanks-
Katie

Katie, there are several places here on the plateau a hour or so east of Nash-vegas! They are pretty pricy though. We have a few here on Bledsoe National Forrest buth they are few and far between (at least for now). You can also hunt hogs on Catoosa WMA just north of Crossville, and Big South Fork a bit farther north of Crossville. But the hunting is pretty tough. Hope this helps.

Ethan's right. TN hogs are there, but they're very scarce. There are, however, a couple of professional operations down here that can put you onto some pigs. PM me if you want the details.

There are some public land pigs here in east tn mtns. But it's tough hunting. I connected with one last year after a lot of time trying. South ga is the place to go. Lots of pigs. Our pigs here in tn a mostly pure russian so it's a prize to get one. But they don't seem to populate like the ferel pigs do.
Around Nashville you would have to hunt a preserve , and if you do that you could just go by a hog farm at home and get a nice fat one delivered.
