Thanks for sharing, though I have to confess I was kind of hoping this one included a dad and son in ghillies.......

David
David, that hunt would come on Sunday evening.

First time Cade had been out since opening day. We'd built this ground blind, he named "2 rocks", because of the 2 rocks we'd set in the blind to sit on, back in the spring. He'd been dying to get in it wearing our ghillie get ups....

•

Arrow #4 claened up and ready to go again...
•

"Timex" just waiting for a deer to walk out of the swamp...
•

I don't think we were sitting for more than 15 minutes and he was sound asleep!
•

It was a great evening, and we had a great time but right at "prime time", two guys came thru on a four wheeler with a rifle strapped across the front of it...remember it's bow season!

Love that. Funny pic of your son........I was about to get down from the stand Sat evening and two teenagers came right by me and never saw me just as dark set in. I was on 7000 privately held acres, so to say I was surprised, is an understatement! Sorry they came thru during your hunt. Looks like it worked out though.

That is a great story and a great harvest! It makes your heart pound every time. If you are like me you spend a lot of time and effort practicing, and trying to get your setup just right...and when it all comes together it is very rewarding.
