English Longbows.

Anyone have experience with these bows or own one that you would share pics of? Would like to know if anyone has used one for hunting and how'd they fare with it? Anything appreciated.

I have one I finished from a glue up.  It's 69" long bamboo backed ipe.  I haven't hunted with it or really shot it that much.  It's very quiet and has a nice cast.  Probably around 50# at my draw.  I might have to try it later this season.

Hope someone comes along soon with some pics. And whatever other good information they may have.

I'd love to try one out soon.

I'm an English longbow fan.  I used an osage ELB last year as my go-to hunting bow.  I stalked and killed a deer within 14 yds during a heavy rain.  The 70" length wasn't an issue.  The lack of any grip, shelf, or physical reference point made it a little challenging to be sure I was holding the bow in the right place, though.

I have a 70# ELB made by the first lady bowyer ever admitted to the club.  I am sad to admitt that i never was able to feel sufficiently comoftable with it to take it hunting.  Some days i could hit a nats ass at 50 yards and the next day i had a hard time hitting the ground at 10 yards.  in this boys opininion it takes one hell of a man to hunt with a true english long bow.  I truley congratulate that fine deer you took with your ELB!!

I have a 74" 100# at 28" English Warbow made by Rudderbows. I plan on using it on a hunt. Wish me luck.
