Zwickey2bl that bow sounds real nice. Make sure you give us a peak when you get it.

I got mine in so asap I'll get some pictures posted.

If I own a quieter, gentler on the bow hand bow that has more point-ability, I ain't remembering at this moment.

Mudd I forgot you ordered one. I know you have experience with these types of bows. This is my first real straight limbed longbow. It's good to know your impressions are the same as mine. How does she compare to the Hills you've shot?

I like them both... but a Hill is... well it's a Hill and I've added one back into the herd. It could be here tomorrow, if not one day next week.

Coming is a HH Big 5 68" 50@28. I can't wait to put it through it's paces.

If the throat is better in the morning my "Hunter" will be getting the call.

Tomorrow morning, I will get up; have some coffee, grab my HH Wesley and my Bama Beast. Out the door I go for a little target practice before heading to the office.

How does my Bama shoot compared to my Howard Hill?

Differently. The Bama has more weight in the riser. The Bama has a tiny bit less smooth draw (but it is also 66" and the HH is 68").

They feel different but I love the way they both feel and shoot.

Thanks Matt and Mudd. One of these days I'll have to get myself a Hill. It'll have to be a 2pc though. No more long 1pc bows for me. The boats crowded already, and hauling one on my motorcycle is too much of a chore.

Well, as they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions..lol

The Big 5 came in the mail today and I fully intended to get pictures of it and the Bama Hunter but it didn't happen.

I hunted with my Bama bow this morning and after just a few shots with Paladin(my Big 5) I decided that touching the tennis ball at 33 yards qualified it to go on my evening outing.

I killed every deer I saw tonight...lol

God bless,Mudd

The only draw back to the Hill I can see is the shiny finish on the black glass. I'll hunt around in the shop tonight for an extra pair of snake skins(Alaska Bowhunting supply).

I am almost positive I am going to try the plasti-dip spray. I have read some good things about it and removal isn't a problem.

I do like the finish Nate uses on the Hunter. It's perfect for hunting.

She's a beauty Mudd. I'm pretty new to shooting D-Shape, straight limb bows, but I've always loved the the lines of them strung. So much beauty in the simplicity of them. It's not hard to see why Howard settled on them as his ultimate choice in bow styles. Someday I hope to master mine well enough to hunt confidently with it. Congrats on your fine Bama Hunter!

Sweet looking Hunter Cottonwood! I like that 2 arrow bow holder, first time I've seen that.

Mudd: I like yours (the one standing up) very nice..what wood is the riser?

Cottonwood: I like yours as well..nice and simple.

Simplicity is the key to true beauty in bows. IMO (wow that sounded like a poet)

I haven't decided on the next model BamaBows I'm gonna get yet, they are simply smooth and dead nuts accurate.

Here is a logo I worked on for Nate, anyone is free to use this if they want.

I thought his logo was already something similar to that?

But i do like seeing that other people shoot and love his bows! Makes me know I made the right choice! I've heard they arent the fastest around but that doesnt matter to me as long as they are accurate and quiet! I like heavy and hard hitting instead of speed anyways, but I want it to be DEADLY quiet!
