Here is the info on the Bighorn quiver source. They are great quivers for the currently made Bear TD risers and for the ones from the 2000s that 3 Rivers marketed. I recommend the longer bottom bracket to make the quiver sit at an angle.

Just got a set of factory limbs from Big Jim. Excellent service! Workmanship of limbs so-so. Shoots good tho. Here is a pix of a quiver I modified last week, but planning to change it some already.
The green looks so bright. Its actually olive drab. Handle is getting a new paint job soon. Textured black.

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I live near Winston Salem. The shoot was at Carolina Traditional Archers (CTA). CTA has its grounds outside of Newton, not too far from Hickory.

I see you are in the wonderful Outer Banks -- a beautiful part of the state. I take it you are a Bear TD fan.

heck yeah, I love them. Got an old one and a new one. Just put a bubinga up for sale, just doesn't fit me. If you get over this way let me know.

I have a new Bubinga B and Green Stripe . Had a back operation 2 weeks ago and will post pics when I regroup.
The new B riser is a good shooter, I'm impressed with it.
The GS shoots great as well but the green tip limbs are a good bit slower, they both shoot where you look . Can't wait to break them in this fall.

I got my new bubinga "A" riser bow today from Big Jim. Put it together using an SBD string that was made for my Brack Quest. My first shot with it - hey, that was quiet! It shoots a nice arrow, actually shoots nice arrows as I ran some 55-60 spined woodies thru it, then some Beman MFX 500s, some Legacy 2016s, a couple of A.D. trad lites, and finally some Heritage 150s. All flew o.k. to excellent with the bow braced at 8-3/8ths. I'll be playing around and tuning it for the next few days. Took a good look at it and seems to have good workmanship throughout. I'll let ya'll know if I get to lovin it, right now I only like it. Alot.

I took my new Red Stripe to club yesterday and I think I helped Bear sell two more.

I really like the BEAR takedowns I own. Very well designed. I like the ability to change limb weight or change risers. Lots of  veriables to fit your situation. Did I say how well they shoot for me.   :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:

O.K. guys, my new bow developed a clicking noise when I draw it back, not every time, but 90% of the time. I took the limbs off and swapped the locator screws - didn't help. Put a dab of vaseline in the bushing - didn't help. Thought about removing the screws completely, but figure they are there for a reason especially with brass bushings to ensure a close fit. What else should I try?

Put some leather dressing on the little pads on the latches. I use pitch blend.

Gun,
Yeah, I read about that, but it has a metallic sound, so I don't think that's it. But it's easy enough to do so I'll try that. Thanks.

I've been thinking about picking up one of these as I really like the tool-less design, looks very simple. Although I do kind of worry about longevity of the system. I know there are models 20+ years old still kicking but I assume there is a certain amount of upkeep associated with the limb holding system? are they worth it if you're not a hardcore Bear fan? I mean for the cost it seems like you're getting into custom bow territory...?
