I once had a bear TD like Toehead's except mine was not signed.  I bought it from Bullseye archery in Millington Tenn for 400.00 dollars in 1980.  I orginally ordered it at 65lbs, but when it came in, it was in two small boxes: one for the riser the other for the limbs.  Anyhow, the guys at bullseye were throwing away boxes as they just got in a new shipment of compounds, and they through my bow in the garbage.  I'm sad to say, that some where buried in a landfield in Tenn. is/was a brand new Bear Kodiak TD that never came out of its box.  Anyhow, I got a replacement but only at 55lbs.  I was stupid enough to sell the bow in 1990 to a fellow in Idaho for $100.00, and regreted it.  A couple of years ago in 2007-2008, I saw it on E-bay.  The original boxes with my name scrolled across the top.  The upper limb had some of the finish removed, but that was were I had put camo tape on the limb and it pulled it off.  I contacted the seller who was in Wyoming.  He had purchased it from a person in Penn., and he was putting it up for sale.  I bid on it till it went to $600.00, but couldn't go no more.  It sold to someone in Mich. for $800 plus.  I did get pictures off of E-bay of it.  I've always wished I could have gotten it back.  Although not as good as the original one, I might have to pick up one of the new gray ones for 2011.

I sold a RH Type 1 in then mid 90's when I switched to LH shooting. I have the supreme in both A & B riser, 2 sets of Bear limbs and on Monday this week I received my long-awaited Rose Oak limbs.

These bows aren't my go to hunters but I like them and they are good shooters.  The 2011 Bear Td for $799 is a bargain!

This thread needs to get started again. I am sure there are a lot of Bear TD fans hear. I recently became the owner of a new TD B-riser. Great bow.

Type 1 "A" with 50# #1 limbs:

Type 2 "A" still in original plastic wrap. No fingerprints on it since it left Grayling....except for the plastic!

I'm a lefty and used to watch Fred Bear on tv when I was a kid in the early 60's. My first real bow was a Kodiak hunter that I shot for 17 years. I have always wanted a t/d . Are these takedowns limited to a 60" length like the one piece Kodiak?
I will be on the hunt for one in the future. Is there a model to stay away from??

Just to let you take down fans know, I have about a dozzen or so bows coming that are going to be special.
Bear made an accidental run of risers that have red glass in place of the white glass. They won't do this on order (believe me I tried because I thought it would look a lot better).
I have "A" & "B" risers coming including a couple of left handers. I also have multiple limbs to choose from. When these are gone, that will be it. The color scheme is a big improvement, IMHO, over the white glass.

I will have them on my website when I get them, but you may call to put a deposit on one to hold it. Should have them in about 2 weeks +-.
thanks, bigjim
