Here are some photos of my brand new 2012 Bubinga takedown..."B" riser with 50 pound #1 limbs. An absolutley gorgeous piece of wood in the riser and the fit and finish of this bow are on a par with most any custom I have had in my hands over the years. A near perfect grip and in my opinion, this is one of the prettiest bows Bear has turned out.

I got a new Bubinga "A" riser with #1 limbs about 3 weeks ago. This bow is a real keeper, out performs other custom bows that I have had. I see no reason to look for custom limbs. Fits great in the hand and is quite. Don't have any pictures but it pretty much looks like the one R.V.T.B. just posted. The workmanship is great, no lines or faults of any kind and I looked at it under my fly tying glass.

I also got the Bear quiver, which I am not as impressed with. It is ok but does make some noise, on another post Charlie L suggested wrapping yarn on it and that did remove the noise.

By-the-way, the compass is no joke it works very nice and is always right there when you want to look.

I am using the GFA quiver from Kustom King on mine.  About the same price as the Bear quiver and built the same.  But, is has a wool cover over the hood and has rubber bushings/washers under the bolts that connect it to the riser.  Very satble and quiet as well as very good looking.

Green tip limbs were made in 1 length making a 60" bow on a B riser.
I can help you with a longer set of limbs.
Pm me at your convenience and congratulations on your signed bow!

This has been a great thread about our great Bear TD bows. I have a magnesium A riser that I am refinishing and I am looking for a set of #3 Gainsville fast flight limbs at 45 pounds for it. At my draw length that should make a smooth and fast 50 pound bow.

I don't need another bow, but the project of getting this one together should be fun.

If any of you guys have a set of #3 45 lb fast flight limbs that you want to part with let me know.

Lets keep this thread going.

This "old & new" combo is headed to a treestand in about 15 minutes.  Early Mag "A" riser with BB2 HEX 6 Border limbs.

This combo shoots a 750 grain arrow with authority!

I love Super K's.I have several and they all shoot great.Recently I got a bubinga A handle T/D with #3 limbs from a fellow tradganger.Man am I happy with it!It is already my go to bow.I tend to shoot a little high with most of my bows when I "feel" like I'm pointing at my spot so I have learned to adjust for that. With the T/D,I have learned that I don't have to do that,it points naturally for me.I don't know why but I am very happy about it.

what is the difference between the #1 AND #3 Limbs? curious about the 60" bow but theres an A riser and B riser with each type of limb which makes up 2 different 60" T/D's so whats the difference?

A riser is short, B riser is long. #1 limbs are short, #3 limbs are long.

so like the widows have the MA and the SA,,, in this case the B riser with the #3 limbs is the smoothest for the folks who draw slow and the A riser and the #1 limbs are for the snap shooters..

got it thanks.

Rumor has it that Bear is bringing back the Futurewood style on the 2013 Red Stripe. I also heard that a capped riser is next.

We will all be looking forward to seeing that, Tom.

I am getting ready to work on TD #4 -- This one will be an A-mag riser that has a lot of miles on it. I will strip it down completely and give it a face lift. Thanks to tradganger Shick I now have a pair of #3 FF limbs for it.

I refinished that riser once in 1980-something, and wore all of that paint off over the years.

I have heard nothing but good things about Mag Risers. I have a couple of friends who swear by them as their "go to" hunting bows.
