Does anyone have a list of what years the Takedowns were made. As I see it, First came the Type 1, Type 2. Then, the Green Stripe in the 80's. The Brown Stripe in the 90's. The Supreme around 2009 - 2010. The Red Stripe Dymondwood in 2011, The Bubinga in 2012. Finaly, The Black Maple Red Stripe for 2013.

It's been a little quite as of late. Let's see some 2012 harvest photos using Bear Takedowns.

Needed to look for something. This makes it easier.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Nice shot....  doesn't look like you would have needed the string tracker on that one!

Shot was angling forward, took off the top of the liver and lungs. First kill with the tree shark. They are devastating

It went about 60-70 yds. Fun as heck to watch the line going out. Have the urge to set the hook !!

Hi everyone. Finally got my dymondwood B riser after 3 months wait and found the bow to be awesome of course. My riser looks nothing like any of the other pictures of the dymondwood red stripe though?

Here is a picture I found on the Internet.

What is the final verdict of the new Bear TD limbs?

I just aquired a nice "B"mag with 52lb limbs and at my draw want to go to a lighter limb.

Thanks

Joshua

Cool riser Bah73.

It looks like they started using solid impregnated maple again (futurewood).

I'd rather have a riser like yours than the dymondwood version.

Futurewood usually has a little more character (and nostalgia) to it.

Looks like another step in the right direction from the folks at Bear.   :clapper:

Now they just need to stop putting those 99 cent compasses in them.

I would love to try one. my bear Kodiak has the nicest grip for me and is a tack driver.  Have always loved the looks of the t/d bear.

Nice looking bow.  I have two of the red stripes and neither of mine look anything like that.  I too prefer the looks of the one piece futurawood.

For Bah73.  Yep, Brandon is correct, they have switched to futurewood over the dymondwood.  Love the change to the maple!!!

I shot both the maple and bubinga at the Kzoo show and have been planning to pick up a maple A/#1 ever since.

I have one of Big Jims red stripes and I love it. Wanted a TD Bear for years and finally have one. Still would love an original but I'm a lefty and they are tough to fine.

Cool, yes the futurewood is a lot nicer than the dymondwood. I must have purchased it at just the right time. I got a pair of 40lb #3 limbs for target shooting and and the bow is very smooth. Also got a pair of 55lb #1 limbs for hunting.
