Stunning inrut i love the look of that riser Just a question for you bear takedown  experts can you run fast flight strings with padded loops or is that a no no

I'm not an expert but I use fastflight strings with padded loops on older limbs with no problem.  I'm not saying you should, just that I've not had any problems in thousands of shots.  I've only used wood risers and haven't done this on mag risers.

Not quite as nice as yours Inrut but found this dusty brown stripe hanging on the wall of a bow shop new except a few arrow through it! Have been wanting one of this vintage for a LONG time.

Got my A riser from Big Jim.  Looked it over, shot it and then polished it up. I know folks like satin but, to me, this bow should be glossy.

Inrut, may I ask? Did you make all the metal parts or use the parts from an old Bear riser?

I used parts out of a broken 2004 era riser. I have another A riser in the works using the same woods but with the classic Bear wedge style stripe. Thanks for the compliments guys!

I am not the first to make a riser like this. I know of at least five others who have done this.

I saw one that was made from a broken riser for Rich Lopez. Like yours it was gorgeous. I am not ready to do that with my riser. I keep checking all the yard sales here hoping, maybe some day.

Well it looks like i'm going to be building some of these now. I told the interested parties i'd give the first 5 guys to sign up for them a 20% discount.... I still have two more discount slots available......  first come... first serve.

Kirkll, what length will your static recurve limbs be.

Been waiting a while to get this one!

Wicked black!!! Got things rigged up today and I grabbed an arrow with a broadhead to see how lucky I was and that arrow went down range without a wiggle....nothin but a ball of fletch, have had a stupid grin on my face ever since  ;)

Want to try and find a medium and high wrist grip to try and might play with a feather rest too but am tickled with how well it points and shoots.

Yohon,  did you paint the riser or someone else? Looks really good, it may be what I do with my A mag riser.

That black on black makes a really good set up.  Those stainless steel screws made a nice little detail.

Paul, I got the riser and it was repainted, whomever did a pretty good job with the refinish job, its exactly how I would have done it. Yeah the stainless screws look pretty cool...as good as it shooting it's looking really cool to me!!!
