Inrut:  I've never seen the brackets into which the limbs are seated separate from the riser. It's my understanding that they have a metal spine that fits into a cut in the riser.  How are they held in place, epoxy?. Beautiful riser, BTW.

Here is what they look like. The sockets have two fins or spines as you called them. They are glued in with epoxy.

Thanks.  Trying to visualize how the slots would be cut into the riser.  Must take a special jig (or jigs) of some sort. Can see that the circular indentations would enable the epoxy to form a series of stop blocks, so to speak, preventing it from pulling out.

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm

The sockets are made from aluminum.

Bear made a takedown in the 80s that had a green stripe and sort of a greenish hue and made one around 2010 with a redstripe and greenish hue. What's the fair market rate for one of those these days if they can be found? With Kirk making limbs I'm a wanting  :)  Thanks

Saw a green stripe on another site. Asking $700 with limbs. That riser has become more popular as people discover it has a very nice grip.

Thank you Sir. Have always had an eye for one and now I'm finally getting one. It's a true blessing as a fellow Hoosier was very accommodating so I could get it   ;)

They will be priced the same as the ILF limbs listed on my web site....But.... there is still one slot left at 20% discount if you sign up now. That will save you $100 [/b]
My green stripe riser is gonna look real good sporting the 5th Slot limbs from Kirk.    :bigsmyl:

Philip, I've always felt the same - that Green Stripes were among the best but can you tell me why you think that?  I should add that I think the Green Stripes up to about serial #6000 were the best.  I'm not crazy about the Green Stripes after the switch from Futurewood and the addition of all the inserts.
