Phil - My green stripe is #B-50XX and is sans all the inserts and bells and whistles you mentioned above. The grip fits my hand like it was made just for me. Although my friends 2014 black with red stripe looks real good, I'll take my green stripe over that one any day. Guess I'm just set in my ways.......    :saywhat:

Danny,  Mine is #B-52XX and the same as yours.  I love the grip.  I do have a couple of newer ones and really like the looks of bubinga risers but the green stripe just shoots well for me.

Well I just purchased a Bubinga A risered model,( used)should get it this week.  Really looking forward to it. Never held one much less shot one. Hoping it works for me.
Looking at all the posted pics of the TDs with quivers, I think I would like an origional Bear quiver for it, but not sure. How are those quivers as far as weight and noise?

MCNSC, those quivers may need some TLC to quite them down. We used to put 4 arrows in an 8 arrow quiver. My buddy gave me an 8 arrow quiver with two hold down brackets. It was made for Bear's first compound bows. It is longer also, it works fine. Unfortunly it does not work on the early risers or my Mag riser. The orginal quivers do inhance the bows look IMO.

I use a Great Northern on my Bubinga riser and like it a lot. Lightweight and solid.

I have a period correct Bear quiver with the spring arm on top and the bracket on the bottom for the side screw insert. Works like it was made for the bow.........   :saywhat:

This is MY opinion of the perfect Bear T/D quiver.
It was made from a Bear compound 4 arrow, a 4 arrow spring arm, a Selway gripper, and some parts of my own making. I shortened the compound quiver about 3" and made new brackets to reattach the hood. This longer version gets the hood up higher and allows for more of the arrow to be supported which reduces vibration. I added a section of a Selway gripper on the inside of the bottom bracket making it up to a six arrow quiver. I can get six Zwickey Deltas in the 4 arrow hood if needed. I made the bottom bracket to attach it to the riser so the arrows sit angled back toward the bow string. This helps keep dirt out of the nocks when lowering the bow from a tree stand. I made my own spring arm as the factory 4 arrow version was too long. It is heat treated spring steel. I have access a full machine shop and can make about anything including making my own bending jig to bend my spring arm, and dies to make my brackets. My spring arm is covered in silicone tubing. It is much better than the dipped plastic used by Bear which is uneven and makes noise against the limb due to not sitting flat on the limbs surface. I am currently making a mold to make the hood out of carbon fiber. The hood is the weak link as they become brittle. I plan on painting the new hood and applying a Bear silk screen to keep the period correct look. I have these on my Mag risers as well.

I really like that quiver, will probably try to get one some time and do the modifications you did. Especially like the offset bracket.

Now that is nice rig. Being I have a couple of those quivers hanging on the wall I may try something like you made. You are right about the hoods, I have had a couple crack at the brass rivets. I use epoxy and thin plastic to repair and strengthen.

Got my new to me TD today. It is 60" and 47 @28. Think I am really going to like this bow. Was worried about the grip but I really like it. The shelf is right at your hand. There is something special about these bows, it just feels right.

I have a ca 2000 era B-riser brownstripe on its way, arriving on Monday.  Interestingly it's coming with Grayling White #1 limbs for 31# on the B-riser.  Looking forward to having a lighter poundage bow to be able to work on my form with.

I have a few vintage Bears but this will be my first takedown.

Now to find some mid-40# hunting limbs!
