How many of those who use the Bear takedown actually take it apart? I'm not wanting to start an argument, but am just curious, I have another brand of takedown & think I've used that feature only about 5 times in 10 years.

The Bear takedown has almost a cult following & I know that's the one Fred used the last years of his hunting career. I'm just curious.
I am a fan of Bear bows, but don't have the takedown.
Thanks.

Because of a lack of wall space I keep mine disassembled and in a hard case. If I am shooting one of my TD combo's then I make room on wall by casing another recurve.

Two hanging up one in a box never opened guess that doesn't count. I pull them apart for travel and if I swap limbs around that's about it.

Frank, I take mine apart a lot, especially to travel.  Plus I change limbs out between the risers I have.

The "B MAG" came in the mail and it's a nice one. I also picked up a pair of #3 red tip limbs. This will make up a 64" 43# bow that looks real neat. I got sick so I haven't shot it yet. But I'm looking forward to it. So I have an A and a B black mag riser with a set of #2 and #3 limbs @ 45#. I will call them the raven twins......lol

I take mine down for travel, but at home it stays strung.

You guys are killing me! I've been trying to acquire a TD in the right specs for months now, and some of you seem to find deals every other day. Of course, every time something close shows up, it's either out of my price range, or someone else snatches it up quick. Guess I'll just have to keep trying. Lol.

Ron - Raven twins sounds like a good name except that I'm a Steelers fan.   :)

64" should be smooth as butter on the draw.  Good luck!

How about one without the ugly limb brackets.

Brandon makes great bows.  This is a beautiful bow but not as functional as the no-tools Bear if you don't have an allen wrench.

That's a beauty there, love the green! I like the metal brackets though.

Beautiful bow, but I am with Chad.  I like the metal brackets.  They are what make a Bear a Bear. I wish Bear would make the T/D in the green future wood like on the new Kodiak Magnum.

On a takedown, the brackets are beautiful.  I love the look of one piece bows as well but count me a fan of the no-tools Bear.

Just bought a two tone A-riser to go with my redstripe, the craftsmanship of the new bears is outstanding and customer service is tops.

A two-tone A is my most recent one as well. Haven't had to use customer service but the craftsmanship is excellent.

Just picked one up at Denton Hill, most accurate bow I've ever shot. 97-99, B riser with 55# limbs, bought a pair of 58# limbs also. Shoots great, to say the least !
