A new bow for a special little girl
« on: November 21, 2010, 07:39:00 AM »
A few months ago Jeff a good friend of ours told me about a little girl and her dad down in South Texas.  Her dad was just getting into trad and Jeff gave him a WindTalker he had from years ago.  The little girl had a hand me down bow that was too heavy.

Well a love affair started.  All she wants too do is shoot.  Instead of rock posters on her wall she had Rod's shot sequence printed nicely on her closet door.

Well we couldn't let this special little girl struggle with a too heavy bow.

SOOOOOOOO, Jeff came up with some Birdseye maple, we laminated some coco in the middle and found a likely set of bamboo lams.  Next thing you know we had a Phoenix Lite done that was just the right weight.

I think she likes it!!

Very nice. Looks like a very happy young lady and it should definitely help her shooting to have a correct poundage bow.

Heard from her dad last night.  He ordered her some new arrows from Big Jim but was complaining that the little bow shot his hunting weight arrows almost as fast as his bow.  LOL
