Rolled in Thursday morning after 12 days of great hunting in northern Kansas. I was fortunate enough to share camp with a good friend and my brother-n-law. We hunted hard, ate too much, and slept really hard every night. Saw some great bucks and lots of rutting action. Earlier in the hunt I passed up several really nice bucks hoping for a chance at one of the big boys. My brother-n-law took a really big doe and missed a shot at a 140 class buck (bow limb hit a branch). Having only 1 day left too hunt I was hunting the edge of an alfalfa field when this nice little 9 pt. came down the edge. I stopped him at 18 yrds and make a good double lung shot. I thought I missed at first as he jumped off about 20 yrds and stood there. His back legs kind of wavered and he took off and made the woodline about 50 yrds away. Within 10 minutes of shooting this buck I looked across the field and a bigger 10 pt. came across grunting the whole way. He passed me at 12 yrds. Ain't that the way it always is! All in all I had an absolute blast and am very thankful to the Lord and my friends and family for allowing me to experience this hunt. Sorry for being so long winded. Hope you guys enjoy the pics. I used a Centaur Carbon Elite 48#@27", 125gr. Woodsman Elites, and Gold Tip shafts.
My brother-n-law's big doe.
