What is the best way to take plastic fletching off a Goldtip carbon? I am scraping them off but seem to be scratching the coating.
Also what would a 29 in 55/75 Goldtip weigh without point?
Thanks!

The shaft weight is 237.8grs. with a black carbon and camo/wood colored 258.1grs.
When stripping vanes I use a fairly dull knife careful notto take anycarbon off.
I hope I helped

The best way I have found to scrape off plastic vanes I trim it off to the base leaving alittle left. Then I take a cigarette lighter and run it over the rest of the vane base and it will scrape off alot easier without damage.A cigarette lighter is not hot enough to damage the shaft but it will soften the rest of the vane so it easier to scrape. This is what has worked for me.
