I've owned them both.  Doubt you could go wrong with either.

Both bows are great bows the finish on the Blacktails are incredible.You can't go wrong with either

But if you slide your hand in  a Schafers grip you will KNOW that it is a hunters bow. It took me almost 20 years to try one, have sold all the rest and only have Schafers.

I have had both and I liked the Silvertip much better. Personal preference though.
