wagner bows

I just ran across these bows at our local bow shop.Anyone have one or know anything about these bows?Looking for opinions on these good or bad.They are made in PA.All wood laminated and highly deflexed in design.Thinking of picking one up.Gonna go shoot one tomorrow.I couln't find any website or info on them.Thanks,Ricky

I think it could be Steve Wagner ( no relation ) . I thought he was from ohio. He is a member of o.s.t.a. here in Ohio and is at all the events maybe some one else might have more info.
     Steve's bows I think say Wagner bows hand signed.this summer talking with him if you get a bow from him for a child when they out grew it he would give you like a hundred dollars trade in on there next bow. Kinda good deal for the kids. I don't know much more. Hope this might help.

It is Steve Wagner and he is from Ohio.  For the money they are really good bows.  I know Steve personally and I've spent a lot of time talking and shooting with Steve at the OSTA shoots and he's a really good guy and he stands behind his work.  If you get a chance to go to an OSTA shoot go to his tent and find one you like and he'll let you take it out and shoot your round with it if you want or there's always the practice range if you want to shoot your round wiht your own bow.  He had a 48# longbow with a skinny grip that I really liked but I just made the down payment on my home this spring so I didn't have the disposable cash to buy a new bow this year.

That's just my opinion of Steve and his bows you'll have to make your own decision, but I can tell you he stands behind his work and he's a good honest guy.  Even if you don't buy a bow from him he's a good guy to shoot the breeze with.

Yes I think the guy said his name is Steve Wagner.Thanks,and yes his bows are affordable and seemed very nice.Kind of a unique bulbous,skinny grip that felt very good in the hand.Also had a unique limb design with lots of deflex.Gonna take some of my arrows over tomorrow and shoot them.There is a 55#longbow I liked the looks of.thanks guys,Ricky

Steve's Bows are absolutly awsome.  I have known and shot with Steve for years.  If I was in the market to buy another bow I would buy a Wagner takedown recurve.  Give him a call, he would love to talk about anything archery.
