Cordovan tabs!
« on: November 26, 2010, 07:31:00 PM »
Hey guys,

Been looking to try a Cordovan tab, and I've narrowed it down into three tabs. Could I please have some help deciding?

1) ABS supertab. Looks like a great tab. "I" think it's overpriced. (is it worth it though?)

2.) Bateman tab. Another highly recommended one.

3.) Last but but not least "screaming eagle" Cordovan tab. looks similar to the ABS supertab. Would like to know if anyone has both for a side by side comparison.

Thanks,
-Richard.

I think Cordovan is over rated.

I love my Bateman Cordovan tabs.

I try to keep two of them on me at all times. I even get a little panicky if I can't put my hands on both of them..lol

The more I use them the better they get.

God bless,Mudd

Same here, bateman cordovan, split finger release.  Never leave home without two of them.

I voted for the Bateman cause it is the best one of the 3, however the best cordovan tab in my opinion is the Black Widow cordovan tab.  I know, you narrow it down to 3 choices and some knucklehead picks one that isn't one of the choices :>)!  But the really are the best!  HeeHee!!

I prefer a Danner myself,yep that's right a Danner.

Made one out of the tongue of my boots that were shot. It made a real nice tab.

Bateman, I have one that is going on 4 years old and perfect.

I have 2 broken in back ups, and 2 in the packaging. That will more than likley be my lifetime supply.

i also think cordovan (horse hide) is over rated.  for decades i've been using home made tabs outta thin, chromed latigo scraps from making quivers ...
