I used to have a bucket list as big as a 55 gallon barrel.  Now days, its pretty short.  I checked a few off the bottom of the list and started to realize over the years that those at the top of the list weren't really that important after all.  Priorities change in life - for me thats been a good thing.

Doesn't mean I love bowhunting any less, just means that I love the simpler hunts close to home.  I'm learning (not there yet!) to be content with what the good Lord provides.

A Kodiak bear. I'll never be able to do that but a black bear would suffice.

Bowhunter4life you forgot the Gould's turkey.

Well at 61 no bucket list per say. But plan on a couple more elk and bear hunts as priority.

Other then that get the grandkids into the game.

1) A mule deer hunt

2) Any type of bowhunt in Australia.

The mule deer hunt is doable, but alas, the Australian hunt isn't.

I am not sure, like Bjorn, I am ready to start the list. However.....

I would like the chance on a really good RM elk, Canadian moose and a real monster Muley. These would have to be the right place (altitude and terrain).

Additionally, I am happy doing what I do, where I do it.

Just to get so see Africa would be great, but my bucket list would be. Kudu, warthog, thompsons gazelle. But the Kudu would be the ultimate. And of course have my two boys along on the "ride".But it will probably never happen, just dont have the funds.

Been lucky enough to bow hunt a bunch of different critters and own a few bows. My "bucket list" would be a list of old friends I'd like to hunt with again but probably never will.

If you are going to have a list you best start early in life. When you get to my age you may find your bucket has a few holes in it.!! This will cause the list to begin to leak out a bit.

I wish, and advice I would give to the 20 and 30-somethings, I would have started generating preference points in a couple of western states for bighorns.  When I was young I never imagined I could do it even if was drawn.  Now I could probably swing a resident guide IF I could draw a tag.  Of course my "sad" story is repeated thousands of times over, even by residents of some of the great bighorn states.

We're not guaranteed even tomorrow, but it will be here sooner than you think.

Im gonna knock one off my list next year. A season long backcountry backpack elk hunt with my son.

Beyond that, i'd like to hunt, and hopefully take a whitetail in each of the mid west states- Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin. Public or private land, doesnt matter to me. Maybe throw in Kentucky and Tennessee too.

Alaska- black bear in SE AK. Float Trip for moose, some salmon fishing, and a caribout hunt. If I had to choose just one I guess Id go with caribou.

I enjoy the camping, and the adventure of doing it on my own, the whole package.

I would also like to travel to Scotland. Bowhunting is not legal there to my knowlege, but that trip is on my list. I want to visit some of the history of the Highlands, as well as the childhood home of my grandfather.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......
