Up till 3yrs ago use to walk out the door  or drive 30 min to my uncles 100ac farm. Had to sell my farm but I still hunt at my uncles. Some nice big bucks have taken at his place.

I am currently hunting 3/4 of a mile down the road.  I hope to get a bicycle to ride next year so I can get there quickly  and not leave a vehicle on the spot.

I grew up with access to several thousand acres of prime hunting land in WV and it was just outside my front door.  I didn't realize how spoiled I was until I joined the military and tried to find places to hunt.  I drove about and hour and 15min to hunt in WA,  I hunted on base in CA but the drive was anywhere from 15 to 30min.  Now I'm in NC and haven't tracked down a place here yet but I drive back to my family's land in WV to hunt and it's 5 hours one way.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

I hunt right around the house and have become spoiled since the wife and I purchased the farm (200ac) almost 13 years ago.  I do have another 600 ac that I hunt about 13 miles up the road...but that 's about as far as I travel anymore...

I can hunt a short walk out the back door or 2 areas within 2 miles of home.  I feel blessed to have the convenience to hunt (and scout) so close to home.

My drive ranges from hopping on the ATV from the house for 15 minutes (muleys and elk) to 1250 miles for whitetails.  And many distances in between.

It all depends on what the hunting is. Deer I can be all set in the tree or blind within 20 minutes. Moose I go 17 hours, that's the problem with Ontario it's so damn big. In reality I could drive less than 3 hours to be in moose hunting but just not the big woods north country I've grown to love and miss when I can't make it.
