Hey Curt, man that was A Ok. Three generations of hunters, it just don't get any better than that. Thanks for sharing and putting us right there with you in the written story and the video. Congrats on taking the buck, and a nice shot to boot. Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.

The most frightening thing you are likely to encounter in nature is yourself.

Curt, that is just great...you're right! It's the size of the experience not the size of the buck. Just awesome man. Congrats pal!

Great story and pics/videos! You brought tears to my eyes with this one. What could be more special than sharing this moment with your son and your dad? This is one to remember. The size of the rack means nothing to an adventure like this.

Thanks for sharing this, Curt!

That was awesome Curt. The pictures and videos will be great treasures for the rest of your life.

I use to take my boys bow hunting with me when they were about Cades age. They're 49 and 51 years old now and they still talk about those early years hunting with dad.

One hunt in particular I had put the boys in two separate ground blinds away from me but still within sight. A big doe came by me and I put a big Pearson Deadhead through her. She ran right towards my 8 year sons blind and piled up 10 yards from him. He popped up out of his blind and his eyes were as big a tea cups. He came running towards me yelling, "you got him Dad!"

They didn't have video cameras back then in the 60's, what I wouldn't give to have that on DVD today...     :archer:
