all this is my opinion but I still officially shoot all three but honestly the aluminums hardly get a 2nd look anymore,,, the carbons are hard to beat for getting the mass weight right and tuning and above all they are accurate and I find I can bare shaft  my heritage 150's in about 5 different bows of different weights by just changing the point weight!

woods are beautiful!  plain and simple its hard to beat a nice wood arrow but they shoot different for me all the time based on weather I just can't really trust them unless I take a few practice shots first but its hit or miss with woods though I'll always shoot them!

aluminums are noisy in the quiver, and look bad, they never held up for me and when thats all I had I found I was ordered a couple doz every season just to replace all the bent ones,, also too hard to build up a heavy grain weight.

I went back to aluminum this year.  Maybe wood next year.  I seem to be cursed with carbon.

I use all three and I shoot carbon the most but I do really enjoy everything about shooting wood arrows from my bows. I just find it hard to break out each new dozen and actually shoot them.

I got my last dozen from elite arrows and they are just what the name implies. Great shooting arrow and nice to look at as well.

Wood for most of my bows and a majority of the time (probably 70-75%), carbon and aluminum split the remainder.

I like wood and aluminum. I shoot some carbons but when the last one breaks I won't replace them, not the leap ahead of aluminums they are said to be.

If aluminum arrows ever go the way of the dinosaurs, that's when I'll quit bowhunting and then make my recurve bows into permanent wallhangers.    :(

I voted carbon But use wood and cane for my self bow . I like carbon put an aluminum sleev on the tip and you can hit rocks and they will not break, well not all the time . I hit lots of rocks chasing ground squirrels.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Aluminum 90% ....wood 10%. No reason for me to go to carbon.
