all this is my opinion but I still officially shoot all three but honestly the aluminums hardly get a 2nd look anymore,,, the carbons are hard to beat for getting the mass weight right and tuning and above all they are accurate and I find I can bare shaft my heritage 150's in about 5 different bows of different weights by just changing the point weight!
woods are beautiful! plain and simple its hard to beat a nice wood arrow but they shoot different for me all the time based on weather I just can't really trust them unless I take a few practice shots first but its hit or miss with woods though I'll always shoot them!
aluminums are noisy in the quiver, and look bad, they never held up for me and when thats all I had I found I was ordered a couple doz every season just to replace all the bent ones,, also too hard to build up a heavy grain weight.
