Tall Tines works it's medicine.
« on: December 05, 2010, 10:25:00 PM »
My Son-in-Law and I finally got our weekend hunting this last weekend. Right after daylight Saturday morning, while holding up in a makeshift blind in a large brush pile by a windmill, this guy comes in for a refreshing drink as he has been busy chasing every doe available in the area. Since before daylight I could faintly make out his silhouette as he chased does from one side of the brush pile to the other and in front and behind me. Finally about 30 minutes after good shooting light he stepped broad side about 15 yards out and stood watching another approaching buck just long enough for me to draw and release. I watched the arrow as it struck the ribcage and the buck launched in a full all out run across the newly brush cleared open pasture. He only slightly stumbled a couple of times as I watched him traverse at least 250 yards in a manner of seconds before piling up. My new Tall Tines had worked its medicine.

A man's true measure is not found in what he says, but in what he does.
