Stupid ? about Fleece
« on: December 09, 2010, 06:58:00 AM »
This is the stupid ? of the day. Is there any product that you can spray or wash your fleece hunting clothing in that will keep it from collecting every piece of lint or hair within 100yrds.It seems like it is magnetized and almost impossible to keep lint and such off it.Thanks for any help.   :dunno:

I have no hair.  My wife and daughters have gratuitous amounts.  As I sit in my stand or blind, I feel like they are almost a part of me as a pull strands of hair out of my fleece.  How does that stuff get in there?  I mean everything is washed separately, I'm not hugging them with it on, where does it come from?  And how does it get "sewn" into the fabric...like it was weaved in there???

Deep thoughts while hunting.   :)

I like a product called Static Guard that you spray on any type of clothing that builds up static electricity. Don't know where we got it but my wife picked it up one day and I found it sitting on the shelf and tried it.  Stuff works great.

Static guard does not repel long white cat hairs.  Anyone want a free 14 year old cat with a fleece addiction?

I have sat and wondered the very same thing at times...strange indeed!!  Made me laugh too    :D

I will have to give the dryer sheet trick a try, although I doubt it stops the hair weave problem   :knothead:

I've stopped wearing my fleece pants when elk hunting.  They pic up burrs like crazy and I get tired of picking them off.

I've found a possible solution for stick tites and beggar lice. Simply throw a couple of pair of the wife's under garments in with my stuff and the offending seeds seem to drop off my stuff and find their way to the fuzzy parts of her underpants.

Problem solved... or at least one of my problems is solved, now to figure out how to solve the new one...lol

You're looking at it all wrong.  Keep the hair and stuff and make sure to bushwack through stickers and briars and all sorts of horrible goop.  Viola! Instant ghillie suit.

Mudd - you aren't right and that's why we all love ya!   :D
