Hi(not sure if this is the right place to post)
« on: December 09, 2010, 07:00:00 AM »
Just wanted to say hi and great web site.  Picked up the trad thing this spring after 20 years of compounds.  Been shooting on BowTechs Pro staff for the last 5 years till i saw the light. I have never had so much fun shooting a bow in my life.  I sold all my compounds and 2 bow presses and replaced it with  3 Great Plains and 2 Bama Bows. All I can say is i wish i had known 20 years ago. Passed an some small bucks this year and had a nice 150ish 10 point at 35 yrds but never even gave the compound a thought.  Did manage to take a doe.  Sorry so long a post im just happy i found ya.

Welcome. This is the perfect place for your post. Just a heads up... your post isn't even on the same planet as other long posts on here.  Some of us even have to stretch our posts out into multiple sections and even over the course of multiple days.

This is a great community and I'm sure you'll find a lot of great information here. Don't be bashful about asking questions, but be sure to make use of the search function.

Again, welcome.

How wonderful it is to fulfill a desire.

Many want to scratch the itch, however they don't where the itch is nor what to scratch it with.

Welcome!!!!!!

Oh, yeah, welcome from here in WV too.  You just started something by getting into curves and longbows that will be a constsnt joy.  Always feel free to jump into the conversations on here.

Welcome!  I was not even a hunter and my uncle got me into traditional shooting when he bought a farm I could hunt at.  I have been blessed to never shoot a compound other then to try one so I know if I would like it or not.  I didnt!  After shooting a recurve and a selfbow shooting a compound is like shooting a gun.

Im glad you have felt the rush of taking an animal with a bow and not an arrow flinging device!

Where at in Ohio are you buddy?  And welcome to the greatest thrill of your life.  Until you experience an up close encounter with your tradtional gear, then you wouldn't know what I'm talking about. Ha ha...

Welcome! This realisation always remind me of the movie ¨Matrix¨when he finally decide to take the red pill.
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Welcome and enjoy the ride-for it has just begun and knows no end.
