Hello!!!
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:35:00 PM »
As my handle indicates, every now and then I get lucky. Today being one of those day's.  :goldtooth:

A little about myself. I first shot a bow when I was about 10 yrs old (that would be 40 yrs ago    ). My brother-in-law had given me a glass bow and some arrows. Living next to a corn field at the time, a lot of black squirrels found their way to the table. Well time passed and I ventured into the firearm arena. I enjoy hunting with rifles, shotguns and flintlocks. I have a crossbow and an old Whitetail II compound, neither of which see much daylight.

So here I am. I just bought a Bear Montana @ 50# and am heading to the bow shop on Saturday to get myself squared away with arrows and such. The crossbow and compounds are destined to become my boy's albatross if they so choose or the 4 sale table if they don't.

I plan on hunting with the Montana...possibly next fall for deer.

I was advised to check out this site for the wisdom readily available and I look forward to becomeing as knowledgeable (or at least more than I am now)on the Traditional style bow.

Welcome to tradgang BSFN!

If you seek knowledge of the traditional archery type then you've come to the mountain.

Enjoy the journey with the rest of us!!

God bless,Mudd

PS: I've had a couple of those Montana Bears and they're awesome(IMHO) very under rated and over looked long bows that aren't short on shoot-ability.

BSFN,
Welcome to the site and you have a very good  bow there and we are all more then willing to help in any possible way we can...If you don't get a lot of answers to any questions it's just mostly because we are in the trees or on the ground looking for nuts ourselves....I haven't been out a whole lot this season due to two little squirrels(girls) are needing Mom and Pop both to raise them but when I do get my chance to hunt I pack a lunch and make a day of it...You will need to follow the Mods rules but just remember to keep it Trad. related and things will go very smooth for ya...Pull up a chair and join the camp...My name is Keith but I go by Keefer's here...God Bless <")))><

Welcome! I like your handle. When I was a kid I played alot of pool with my Grandfather. When I won he would say, "Well, even a blind Squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile".    :campfire:
"Always feel the wind, and walk just like the leaves".  ("LongBow Country"--Chad Slagle, "High, Wild, and Free").
