new guy here
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:57:00 PM »
just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

i've been archery hunting for some time now with compound bows and most likely always will. lately i've been driven by an unknown force to look into more traditional archery. more challenging i think. after researching, i've decided on a recurve. i love the lines of this style. my final decision is to build it myself! what could be more gratifying than building my own bow and then hunt with it! doing more research, i ended up finding this site. i hope to gain knowledge and understanding and meet a few others.

thanks for the space, and thanks to the admins for this gret site. what a wealth of info!

Welcome!
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Welcome. My guess is you'll soon forget about the compound. This stuff is addicting.

Welcome aboard!

If your interested in building your own recurve, check out The Bowyers Bench form.  Lots of good advice there and don't be afraid to ask questions.

If you do end up building your own, you will build another, and another,...and the compound will do nothing but collect dust   ;)
