November in Iowa
« on: December 10, 2010, 10:38:00 AM »
I'm a little late in posting on my Iowa hunt as I just returned from France visiting our son.  He is an exchange ski patroller from Crested Butte, CO with Courchevel, France.  Right after returning from Iowa, my wife & I flew his dog over as she is a certified avalanche search & rescue dog.

To say I've been busy the month of November is an understatement.  On our last day in France, Molly fell skiing and broke her arm & leg.  Getting back to the states and having her seen at Mass General Hospital in Boston has been an ordeal.  Finally things are starting to settle in.

I'll just post a picture of my Iowa buck and get to the story later...Doc

Wow Doc sounds like a great month that ended pretty crappy!  Tell Molly to get well.

Great buck man. Congrats on what looks like a successful hunt!

Now that's a beauty, probably overshadowed by the bad breaks but let's hope there was a silver lining to this story.

A beautiful Buck.  Hope life settles some and Molly heals quickly and well.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
