I haven't tried the fleece, but I don't think you can get much warmer than Wooltimate. I also think getting burrs out of fleece would be harder. They do stick to wooltimate, but are fairly easy to remove. I have both the jacket and the pants and they get a workout here every year. When the burrs are bad, I put a pair of unlined bucksuede pants over my wooltimate and an unlined saddle cloth jacket over the jacket...no burrs!

Sorry I can only answer half of your question. I looked at both and thought the Wooltimate looked better. I don't regret my decision.

I've got the berber jacket and pants.  Love the warmth and complete silence of the material.  30coupe is right about burrs.  If you are in an area full of stickers and burrs they can be pretty hard to get out of the fabric.  If you are in a oak tree on a ridge, not a problem.  I switch back and forth between berber, fleece, and KOM wool depending on temp. Like them all.

Hi  I've got both..  The woolmate is way warmer.  I wear the fleece in the early sept season and the woolmate when it is cold...

Way too many burrs and junk where I hunt for the berber stuff. The wooltimate picks up some but they come off pretty easily. Have had the jacket for 3 years and it's really warm. Just got the pants yesterday. Supposed to be cold as heck this week, hopefully I can get away long enough to try em out.

The berber is nice but burrs are a pain and it is just too bulky for bowhunting for me.

I picked up the vest earlier this season with all the pockets. I love it. I also got it on sale.

None of the other wooltimate stuff is a great fit for me since I wear XLT and have long arms. BUT, They had a Cabelas legacy wool shirt on sale in XL Tall and I got that, and it is great as well. They do not come in camo, but they do have red/black plaid.

The Wooltimate Vest is now my favorite piece of clothing for cold weather. Love the pockets, and it is very warm.

I have a pair of wooltimate pants and a berber vest.  The vest has wind stopper in it.  Last night it was -12 when I got off stand and I wore the wooltimate pants but wore a wool vest instead of the berber vest.  The pants and berber vest are warm garments but I think the wind stopper lining is slightly noisy (I may be a little paranoid though).

On a side note I have a Day One insulated jacket that I highly recommend.

Good hunting,
Greg
