Bows for my special people (Pics)
« on: December 11, 2010, 03:35:00 PM »
I don't post often but I thought this was worth the effort. I wanted to share 3 bows I built for my grandchildren for Christmas this year. My wife made the bow socks, I made the bows, and put together a dozen arrows for each child. They will be set to go this year! I'm proud of them and thought they deserved the best I could give them.

Special thanks to Kennym for the high quality materials he provided for me. Without his craftsmanship this wouldn't have been possible.

Anyhow....Enjoy the pics. I know I enjoyed the build.

Wow!  Those a true treasures that no doubt will be in the family for many years to come.  Even when they ultimately outgrow those bows they will have a special place in their memories.

Great bows, the big fun is shooting with the little ones.  I should have had a video camera when my 4 year old grandson bounced his htm tipped arrow off the roof of the neighbor's house.  He went into full stealth mode to get his arrow back.  His little Maddog shoots just a bit farther than it should.  You gotta really watch them at first.
