Tim- Get yourself a feather chopper from 3Rivers. They are very reasonably priced and you can get any length or style you want.

Some guys like to burn them, but die cutting works extremely well for me.

That's some good looking fletching. It is my favorite shape. I put the corner of the cock feather in the corner of my mouth as an anchor point.

David, that is some of the nicest cresting I've seen.  I hope you will be making some arrows for the auction at the Portland PBS.  I'm going to start squirreling some coin away, even if it is just to buy your 3 winning arrows from the contest...

Very nice work on those naturals. Looks like a 3 Rivers "Swift" cut on em. I was considering that chopper, and after seeing them now on yours, I am convinced that is a great cut to use. Thanks for sharing. Get em bloodied up already.

Great looking arrows and feathers.  Nice work on both parties.

Thanks guys.

I told you Scott I had some shafts just waiting for your feathers! haha

I hope all arrow builders get ready for the PBS in Portland! Let's make our best!

I love making arrows if you can't tell...haha I could make them all day. Well with some bowbuilding once in awhile.

I love the looks and quality of natural feathers...although I have never had enough of them to make even 1 dozen arrows.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

Snag people like me just love people like you!

("I love making arrows if you can't tell...haha I could make them all day. Well with some bowbuilding once in awhile.")

I hate making arrows!! Back when I made Osage self bows I always said I'd rather build 10 bows than two arrows...lol

I have, can and would make them if I was the last person on earth but until then I'll leave it to those who love it.

Your love for building them shows in your work. I think that my disdain for making them showed itself in my finished product too...lol

Keep up the good work!!

God bless,Mudd

Very kind words. Thanks to all on this site that have shared with me how to do things like making arrows.

Yes Mudd, we all have our own gifts don't we. Love sharing what the Lord hasn't given me with others as others have done for me.

I must admit something here...I'm a perfectionist.
