Sure is Woody! One beautiful spot halfway between Helena and Great Falls. The mountain shots were taken in the Little Belt mountains.

Jeff H, I was studying your picture on top of page three, and I do believe that if your rotated 180 degrees and faced south, you would be looking right at the spot I was standing in when I took the next picture, although it was some distance away.

I was standing on the divide when I took it.

The next picture would be if you looked southeast into Idaho.

You would have probably been up on the ridge and to the left.  Both pic's were from last fall.
So don't wait until you retire to go hunting and fishing.  Don't even wait for your annual vacation.  Go at every opportunity.  Things that appear urgent at the moment may, in the long run, turn out to be far less so.

Of course, Idaho has a few scenic spots also.  We were heading up to float the Middle fork of the Salmon a couple weeks ago, which is 101 miles of whitewater, and I took this pic of Mount Borah, the highest point in ID.

The next pic is while we were waiting for my other son to show up at the airport in Stanley.  Our state bowhunting org has it's yearly shoot just up the road from here.

Mark, I was wondering if anybody would recognize that area, which is a favorite shared by my friends Ernie McKenzie and Bill Allard.  I only got to spend several days there last fall and had to leave just when the elk hunting was getting interesting.  This year I hope to spend up to 2 weeks in there.  Beautiful country.

These goats call Glacier NP their home....

The water there is crystal clear and cold, even in August....

Tom,

You should be glad you cliked on this.  Nothing more beautiful than Big Sky Country.  I'm fortunate, just look out my window to Glacier National Park.

It's just plain ol nasty to put pics up like this.

Scott Smith, what brand of LongBow is that one along side the shed?

Al, do you mean nasty pics like this?  ggg

If you stop posting great pics of chasing chitals through eucalyptus groves, we won't have to do things like this in return - GGG (by the way, the third from the left is a pretty good bull):

Handsome old fella.

Not such a handsome fella, but what a burl on that red cedar.  Looks a bit like a big nose.

A gray day but still a treat to be there.

Oh your just playing mean now Woody!

I'm going to have to rethink my 2008 options and think long and hard on getting over to see Joseph to take him up on his offer!

I have to see the American west one  day soon. Than maybe BC.
