that's the kind of day that makes us come back in the woods
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Seeing a bobcat is an excellent experience. I have seen many but have never seen one pursuing prey, its very cool. I saw one last year that had an abnormally cinnamon, tan is standard, color but had to pass as it was 2 days before season.

Sounds like a great hunt!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Thanks for sharing the story!  I've seen only one live bobcat in my life and that was in the rearview mirror on a Kansas road many years ago.

One of the neatest things I've ever seen was a coyote come sit in front of my tree at about 10 yards. A small plane was flew overhead, and you know how hard they (planes) are to spot since the noise and the plane seem to be in different places?  The coyote quickly found that plane and followed it with his eyes. Then he trotted off.
