They still allow that in Illinois eh? Sorry Jonesy, couldn't resist. Looks like a great day and I am so jealous being barred from the bow and all for another month yet.

That looks like fun guys! That's what my daughter wants to do this summer, but she's got a shoulder injury healing up right now...can't pull her bow just yet...
i've got an old 43# Ben Pearson recurve i was thinking of setting up for bow fishing...what do you think? Is it heavy enough? you think it will it work?

kirk, i was shooting 65# couch recurve, and arrow barley penitrated some of the bigger brutes heads, so i think if you shoot for the body you should have no problem getting thru with a 43# recurve. Jonesy

LeRoy,
Where were you guys at shooting fish that big? Awful nice Arroyo to be shootin at fish... At a club I beling to near my house they are trying to get rid of some White Aimer carp out of their pond, these things are 20-25 lbs each and look like subs glidding through the water. Unfortunately they are pretty skittish and don't get real near the shore.
You going to Compton?
