Limb Bolt Quivers?
« on: June 01, 2007, 10:45:00 PM »
I'm looking at buying a used Palmer or Bob Lee and most of them do not have quiver inserts. Can anyone recommend a good limb bolt quiver to use with these bows (preferably not leather)?

Thank you

Not leather kinda limits your choices. The only limb bolt quiver I can think of in plastic is the Thuderhorn Two Point plastic.

Brady;
       I have a Wing 6 arrow Quiver , originally made by Bob lee for His wing Bows and I have modified it to mount over the limb bolt and is held in place bi a thumb screw. I drill and tap the limb bolt to 10/32  and the thumb scew attaches to the limb bolt , can email pics if you are interested?? The arrow gripper is new from  3 Rivers.

BD- what reason do you have for disliking leather? Keeping broadheads dry?

Tip- I take the foam out of my hood, and using thinned PLASTI-DIP (the plastic tool handle cover dip) I pour the dip into a bowl and cover the foam with a thin coat of the dip- then after it dries most of the way, I slide the foam back into the hood. I do several foams at once to waste as little of the plasti dip as possible. You can pour most of the unused stuff back into the can.

Works great and I also put chapstik on sharpened blades before placing them in my hood foam, to completely keep them dry even in a downpour.

I recommend the Eagles Flight Archery new limb bolt recurve 4 arrow quiver...its very light..and if you treat the leather parts with Montana Pitch Blend it should last a long time.

The difficulty with the non leather types like the Selway black rubber version is that they add significant weight to an already heavier bow.

Ray is right on! The EFA limb bolt quiver is a real winner. I'll be uisng only the EFA from now on,on all my bows T/D or otherwise. Ray thanks for the plasti dip idea that will work great!
