I loved the recent thread about new skill building for 2011. Just as an FYI, I've found Patrick Smith of Kifaru to be a great source of info. Here is a link to a collection of essays, tips and techniques. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

For those of you who don't know Patrick Smith, he is a wonderful human being along with having an incredibly inventive mind and being extremely physical in his approach to life. Patrick lives in Golden, CO (when he isn't spending a couple hundred days a year out in the field testing his equipment and enjoying the outdoor life), and everything about him is as golden as the place he lives. He is a modest and unassuming man who knows and has accomplished as much in his life as most of us could in about 10 lifetimes. Definitely check out Patrick's essays. Any of us could learn a lot from him.
