Well I am going on a hunt this January, and during the break between seasons right now, I am tuning up a longbow and tinkering... and tinkering.... Seems as though the late season will never arrive!!!!
I posted a couple questions on my projected set-up, and I got to thinking...
"What if we started a Data-base so to speak, of our exact set-ups used to take down game... or our exact set-ups in general?"
There are so many questions on tuning your set-up for hunting certain game animals, or just plain tuning your set-up... And most of the time you get very helpful responses.
But if you could just talk to that one person out there, that is shooting a center-shot takedown recurve, at the same poundage, and the same draw length, shooting the same arrows... your learning curve will be greatly shortened, or at least it will give you a much better starting point...!
So here is what I'm thinking, Just copy and paste the below blank form, and fill them out accordingly. Nothing more, nothing less. So the next time we are tinkering and trying something new, we can reference this post, and try to find someone out there that is shooting similiar set-ups with success...
I have organized the fields below so they are easy to scroll through this post, and find the type of bow, or type of arrows you are playing with... This will make it a little more organized.
Follow my lead below:
(If you have not used a suggested tuning method to verify your set-up i.e bareshafting, papertuning, etc... just put N/A)
