« on: December 21, 2010, 06:41:00 PM »
met jim and picked up this awsome bow!jim ,you knock it out of the park with this design!
my bow is Banshee TDR 60" RH 38#@28" riser is macasser ebony, honduran rosewood and cocobolo limbs are pommeled bubinga. smooth... as you can see in the pics of the limb profile from the side..there is a wave ,folks its awsome .when i draw the bow almost half way,you can feel the limbs  get even smoother.from grabbing the string to the anchor and release its the most smoothest bow i have ever owned ,and i have owned alot..lol.
as usaual jim;s attention to detail is amazing..the arrows i was shooting are  predator 20/40.. gold tip pros 3555.. carbon express 75;s and gold tip entrad,s 600.all hit where i wanted from 20 yards.here are some pics.oh by the way if it sounds like i was bragging ,its because i am :goldtooth:folks you need to try one of these bows .you will be very satisfied.

Hey Chanumpa,
This bow is a Black Creek made by Jim Gainey, not one of Big Jim's. In clearing that up, both fellow's are top shelf as are there bows.

I like that compact riser.  Good clean lines on the bow for sure.

thanks guys, this is a jim gainey bow, black creek banshee, takedown recurve, big jim makes long bows for now , and a nice long bow at that . jim gainey is a great person to work with. i have known him for about 3-4 years ,met him at john sullinins shop (sipsey river) when jim gainey first started ,jim is a man of integrity, and as honest as the day is long ,his wife and youngest son are people that when you meet it makes you feel at home.you gotta love that ..didnt get to shoot it today (had a christmas party at work)14 hours long woooo hooo ,but folks im talking serious...jim,s attention to detail is amazing,to me ,he makes one of the greatest bows around, now im not knocking other bowyers ,but for me. the grip ,the smoothness ,and the looks are a 10 out of 10 in my book,if you can get your hands on one ,try it out ,i bet you will like it ..
