It took me a while to learn that carbon arrows
like a heavy point. (f.o.c.) Also, I found that when trimming the length of the shaft, taking an inch at a time was too much.
Nothing against other arrow materials, but the extra time carbons can take to get right, is time well spent because of the durability.
As far as brace height, my experience was that what worked good for wood or aluminum, was what worked good for carbon also. Ditto for nock point
position.
