I've been out since Monday. The deer are all stirred up here in Iowa due to the shotgunners pushing them around the last 3 weeks. I did find a nice draw I'll be in hoping to see some movement.
We need some more cold and snow here. I want to see the deer get on a feeding pattern.

For sure, gonna do a little rabbit hunting in the morning and then try to go after a doe this weekend as well. Merry Christmas to all.

I cut them some slack on Christmas day but with 2 more months of deer bow season I still have plenty of time left. On Christmas day I always give the animals a present of my own. Basically a free day of me not bugging them even though they should have no worries with me this year.
My shoulder is back to about normal and I can shoot again. After all these weeks of no hunting I'm camping for a few days the week after Christmas.

Three of my buds(2 of whom are members here
) and I are going to Land Between the Lakes WMA for a couple of days from 12-27 thru 12-29. Hope to get some snow before we head out Monday morning. Can't wait! LBL offers two extra deer, including one buck!

Deer season ends on 12/31. I plan on getting out 4 or 5 more times. I'd like one more shot at deer or turkey (or both).
Then I think I'll try some bunny and squirrel hunting in Jan and Feb.

I'm off from now until January 3rd, going to try to get out as much as I can. Season ends the 16th here in Illiois.

I have to work all weekend so my Xmas is next week. I have been fighting the flu for a few days, I regretfully think my year is over.
