Hill Badger
« on: December 23, 2010, 05:49:00 PM »
Would any of you happen to have some pics of your Howard Hill Badger that you could post on here so that I could get a good view of it.

I'm sure that it's not that common of a bow, being a R/D Hill, and I can't find any really good photos.

I've been to the Longbowmen site, and here at TG, but I'm not having much luck. Riser close-ups, and strung and un-strung profile photos are what I'm seeking. Just really looking for some good pics.

Thanks for your help everyone....  :notworthy:

If you email Craig @ Howard Hill Bows  he can probably email you some photos.  He had some on his computer, not sure if he still does.

Typically, I end up seeing better pics from one of the websites than from the bowyers themselves.

Probably due to the fact that when a fella gets a new bow in, that he has waited some time for, he's excited to "show it off", somewhat.

That's why I didn't bother Craig yet. But, I may have to. We'll see. Not a really sought after bow.

Why didn't this bow sell better? I have 6 Howard Hill Archery bows and I've never heard of this bow until now. Certainly have never seen one in the flesh.

The R/D design is a good idea and there are many examples that work well. Curious Craig's effort would not be popular.

I have a 62in that I got this summer.Love it!!When I did research on it before I ordered it,most people said they liked it,but it didn't have the Hill shape to it.I got the same handle shape as my Big5 so I get some looks when I take it out of the case.

Uh, why does that bow, hand, and tip of a white tennis shoe look familiar? That love seat looks familiar, too.

cool bows! matt was nice enough to let me shoot his.  its one of those bows you feel you cant miss with.  the badgers are really smooth with no hand shock, decent speed, and just pretty to look at! you did good snatchin that one up! that was a good price!

That's because you take better pictures than I would Matt!!!!!...lol
And by using what I had on hand,I didn't have to wait until the bow arrived to meet the request made by Irish Archer.

I like the looks of that Hill quite a bit. There probably are not too many of those floating around out there though.

Nice looking bow for sure Mudd. Congrats.

Let me know how she feels and shoots for you. I appreciate it.

I had a real nice one that I sold, and am still kicking myself. It was a 62" made to look like the cheetah with cocobolo overlays. It was very smooth drawing bow. Craig put a nice low rise recurve grip on it for me with some palm swell. Man I wish I had that bow back. I may have to order another one.

Someone asked why the Badger is not better known...   Craig does not advertise it.  It isn't in the catalog.  It doesn't fit the Hill marketing picture and I think is really kind of his guilty secret...  :^)
